We are seeking an experienced reinsurance claims examiner to manage a portfolio of casualty claims in our New York City office. This position is a great opportunity for experienced claims examiner to assume responsibility for a growing book of business. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited t

  Evaluating and making independent coverage determinations on complex casualty reinsurance claims, including general liability, automobile, workers’ compensation, excess and umbrella liability, products liability, construction defect, environmental, and other long-tail casualty cla
• imsAnalyzing underlying insurance policies, claim files, coverage opinions, expert reports, and legal billings to assess coverage triggers, limits application, exclusions, allocation issues, and strategy alignm
• entEstablishing and maintaining accurate loss and expense reser

• ntsConducting detailed claim audits of cedent files and preparing comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and risk assessme

nsationIn addition to base salary, for this position, TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity. The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity is $120,000 -180,000. This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant’s specific skill set and level of expe
