Substitute Bus Aides

Jefferson County School District is seeking Substitute Bus Aides to fill in as needed during the 2024-2025 school year. We are willing to train the right candidates.

CLOSING DATE: This posting is for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants will be contrated as needed.
STARTING WAGE: $17.30/hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Bus Monitors assist the driver with loading and unloading students and with student management on the school bus. 


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE (Minimum Qualifications)

• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described within this job description.
• Ability to communicate fluently verbally and in writing in English.  
• Be at least 18 years of age

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as an instructional assistant in a k-12 environment.
• Experience as a bus aide with SPED students.
• Bilingual Spanish
