What are the responsibilities and job description for the Car Driver position at Transportation?
Description
King William County Public Schools is in need of a car driver to transport students to and from school, Monday-Friday. This is a part-time postion and does not include benefits.
Qualifications
- Employee must have a valid driver's license issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, with a clean driving record.
- Must submit to a background screening (on-site).
- Must submit to a drug screening (off-site).
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
Physical Activities
Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities; sitting for extended periods of time, lifting (assisted and unassisted), transporting student(s) as required. Performs other duties required for meeting the physical needs of student(s).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong communication skills (written and verbal); ability to support and/or implement behavioral strategies as required; ability to work with parents/guardians and staff members in a professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism through prompt and regular attendance as well as professional attire.
- Compile, maintain and submit all required records pertaining to the safe operation of county vehicles.
- Ensure student safety through proper securing of student(s) during transport.
- Communicate concerns regarding behavior concerns in a timely manner.
