PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Ensure students are transported in a safe to and from school and other destinations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must sign a release form for criminal record check Must complete and pass a physical examination
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED required
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist students during transport and during loading and unloading
- Properly secure students and/or equipment
- Inform students of bus safety requirements
- Monitor student behavior for the purpose of diffusing situations and/or preventing distraction to the driver or injury to students
- Assist in the evacuation of students from the bus during emergencies
- Attend all safety meetings as required
- Promote positive public relations
- Word cooperatively with all students, system personnel, and parents
- Perform other duties as requested
