We are searching for an energetic and motivated professional to be part of the TCS team. Transportation Compliance Services, USA (TCS USA) is a leading provider of custom transportation compliance and risk management consulting services assisting motor carriers maintain compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.
As a Support Services Specialist, you will work with and develop lasting relationships with new TCS prospects as well as support and sustain relationships with existing TCS clients.
The Support Services Specialist will report to the Support Services Manager and must be able to manage multiple projects at a time and track the progress on them. In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, can work in an electronic virtual environment, and be willing to learn new skills related to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Functions:
- Accurately and completely document client contact and provide all necessary feedback in a timely manner
- Manage multiple priorities and requests related to transportation compliance documents and filings
- Support existing TCS clients and staff by handling an assigned list of duties related to:
Driver Qualification Documents
Drug and Alcohol Testing Results
FMCSA Pre-Employment Screening Results
USDOT Registrations and Applicable Filings
Hours of Service Regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers
- Review, organize, and audit documents in an electronic virtual environment
- Work with new TCS clients setting up support services processes and training new clients on TCS procedures
- Compose news articles/social media posts under guidance for public release
- Follow a list of standards and procedures related to services that are offered to TCS clients in an virtual setting via email, fax, phone and shared networks.
Core Competencies (Skills):
- Education: Associates Degree or higher in business or regulatory compliance related field or equivalent/relevant work experience
- Experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation compliance or Human Resources related functions preferred
- Experienced in working electronically with email, phone, and virtual databases
- Auditing or clerical experience in working with trucking companies
- Must have good time management, multitasking and stress management skills to be able to ensure that tasks get completed on time.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Should be able to maintain their composure even in difficult situations
- Excellent follow up skills to ensure client satisfaction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Operating systems, Microsoft Office software suite
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat software a plus
