Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI) is seeking a motivated and mechanically skilled Transport Refrigeration Unit Installer to join our team. This full-time role focuses on installing auxiliary power units (APUs), cab heating and cooling systems, and new or used refrigeration units for commercial transport vehicles. You'll work hands-on in our shop and occasionally off-site, helping to keep refrigerated fleets running smoothly.

🚧 What You’ll Do

• Install APU units, cab air heaters, coolant heaters, and cab air conditioning systems
• Perform new and used transport refrigeration unit installations
• Build and assemble custom products and components for OEMs and fleet customers
• Meet standard installation times while maintaining high quality
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools
• Keep your workspace safe and clean
• Occasionally travel for training or customer installations
• Follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality
• Take on additional duties as needed

🧰 What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
• Basic tool set (standard/metric hand and air tools)
• Valid driver’s license 
• Willingness to become certified in:
  • EPA 609 Refrigerant Handling
  • TriPac APU Installation
  • Forklift operation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a physically active environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude
• Availability to travel to other locations
