TSINY, a non-profit mental health services agency seeks Full-time Assistant Program Director for it PROS Outpatient Program, located in Jamaica (Queens), NY.
Position: Assistant Program Director, Full- time
Salary: $68,000 annually
Position Summary
Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of PROS, ensuring that the rehabilitation and recovery needs of participants with psychiatric and with co-occurring disorders are met, and State regulations, guidelines, and standards of care are carried out and maintained.
Essential Functions
- Supervise, train and delegate responsibilities to assigned staff.
- Contact MCO and request authorizations for service as assigned by the Program Director.
- Provide CT services to participants when applicable.
- Attend monthly OMH PROS meetings.
- Meet with family members when scheduled.
- Provide training, orientation and guidance to new staff.
- Act as liaison with nursing and psychiatric staff.
- Complete FIT and other on-line training when assigned.
- Oversee the follow-up of participants who have been absent from PROS for an extended period of time.
- Perform monthly program certification.
- Provide leadership in the absence of the Program Director.
- Facilitate groups when necessary.

- Possess ability to communicate sensitive information to principals and client.
- Be able to lift items up to 25 pounds.
- Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience/Education/Skills/Abilities
Master’s degree in a social work, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, psychology or related field plus licensure and three years clinical/rehabilitation and supervisory experience.
