Senior AccountantCentral San Diego - Hybrid - $80k to $90k- Direct HirePosition Overview:Our client is a national leader in the financial services industry, generating over $5B in annual revenue and widely recognized for its stability, sustained growth, and people-first culture. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of general ledger activities, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Key Responsibilities:Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.Perform advanced financial and data analysis to support forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.Analyze variances, trends, and financial performance drivers; prepare clear summaries and reports for management.Build, maintain, and enhance financial models and automated reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).Oversee bonus and incentive compensation calculations, accruals, and related financial reporting in partnership with HR and FP&A.Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the general ledger, financial data, and internal control processes.Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and continuous improvements within accounting and reporting systems.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred).4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and analysis.Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)Experience with major ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).Experience with compensation or bonus program calculations strongly preferred.Proven experience working with financial data sets and analytical tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.Company DescriptionTransition Staffing Group is an award winning San Diego based staffing agency providing solutions on a Temporary, Temporary-to-Hire and Direct Hire basis.
