Seattle Angels is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. Through our Love Box and Dare to Dream programs, volunteers provide consistent care, mentorship, and practical support to foster families and youth. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Case Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a network of volunteers, foster families, and youth participating in Seattle Angels programs. This role is responsible for recruiting, screening, matching, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers while ensuring trauma-informed, relationship-based support for children and families experiencing foster care. The ideal candidate is relational, organized, adaptable, and passionate about supporting the foster care community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, screen, interview, train, and onboard new volunteers

  • Match volunteers with foster families and youth based on needs, strengths, and program goals

  • Provide ongoing coaching, support, accountability, and encouragement to volunteers

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with foster parents and youth in programs

  • Document case notes and maintain accurate records in Apricot 360

  • Coordinate with partner agencies, social workers, and community resources

  • Represent Seattle Angels at outreach and community events

  • Provide administrative and program coordination support

  • Plan and execute quarterly events and community-building opportunities for volunteers, families, and youth

WORK CONTEXT

This is a hybrid, community-based role involving remote work, weekly office meetings, home visits, training, and outreach events throughout the greater Seattle area. Flexibility in scheduling is required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s Degree and 2 years of related experience, or

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of related experience, or

  • Master’s Degree and 6 months of related experience.

Experience in social services, volunteer management, nonprofit programs, or related fields is preferred.

  • Personal Telephone & Laptop/tablet

  • Personal car, valid driver’s license, and insurance

  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma

BENEFITS
