- We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. You will be responsible for assisting with construction tasks, operating hand and power tools safely, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
- Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, and other construction tasks.
- Assist with residential carpentry projects including door hanging, fixture installation, flooring, tile laying, and stucco application.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, and water damage restoration.
- Use woodworking machines safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood construction materials for framing and finishing work.
- Support site preparation by installing metal studs, drywall (including caulking), mold remediation tasks, and reinstallation of fixtures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and ensuring proper handling of all equipment.
Experience
- Previous construction experience in residential or commercial settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans is essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills; power tools including saws for woodworking; and woodworking machines.
- Knowledge of various carpentry disciplines including framing (metal stud or wood), trim carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and remodeling projects.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures related to power tools and heavy lifting.
- Background in restoration industry tasks such as mold remediation or water damage repair is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
