OBJECTIVE
We seek a dynamic, multi task oriented professional to provide oversight of 7 technicians.Direct and coordinate activities to obtain optimum use of heavy duty Boom trucks, trailers, and MHE, facilities and personnel.This individual will insure that all contractual requirements are achieved. Responsibilities include schedule training of employees, planning, assigning and directing work, conducting performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the work of 7diesel technicians
- Oversee records management of all equipment
- Maintain warranties, PM schedule and repair records
- Oversee the ordering of parts & maintain parts inventory
- Manage the repair & maintenance of customers equipment
- Assist in maintaining safety & health policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the shop
- Recommend equipment purchases & sales based on maintenance records & utilization
- Participate in hiring & termination of service & repair staff
- Train new mechanics/technicians
- Meet with members of management to discuss policies, problems & provide recommendations for improvement
- Report all injuries and safety violations to the Corporate Safety Manager
- Ensure that the service department performs with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency that exceeds customer expectations
- Inspect equipment to ensure they are being maintained properly
- Review Mechanics work orders for accuracy and completeness

Fleet Maintenance Manager Requirements
- Must have at least 3 years experience in maintaining Class 8 equipment.
- Previous management oversight of diesel mechanics
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office specifically excel and Word
- Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, diesel maintenance of Class 8 equipment, diagnosis, and repair to fleet operation.
- Builds positive employee relations with employees. Take action to address and resolve requests and situations.
- Coaches and develops others using career development processes and tools.
- Effective communications skills
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Organizational skills
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance
- Must maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record
- Must be proficient in the English language to communicate verbally and in writing
