Technician

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Technician to join our team in the Trevose, Pennsylvania area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) products including: changeable message signs, roadside and security CCTV systems, access control systems, and weather detection systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all systems.

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Valid PA drivers license (clean driving record required)
• Basic Computer Skills (MS Word & Excel)
• 2 years Electronics experience.

Desired Skills: 

• Background on CISCO TCP/IP networking and familiarity with ServiceNow a plus.
• Fiber Optic termination and troubleshooting.

Special Qualifications: 

• Class B CDL would be a plus.

Education: 

• Required - High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
