Position: LabVantage LIMS Functional SME
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
LabVantage/Softmax: Need consultants for implementation, integration and migration.
Overview of Position:
- Implementation: Gathering and documenting business and lab requirements, guiding configuration, and aligning system capabilities with operational and regulatory needs.
- Integration: Connecting LabVantage with other systems such as ERP, PLM, ELN, instruments, and middleware.
- Migration: Planning, executing, and validating data migration strategies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the LabVantage LIMS functional SME throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and laboratory requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement LabVantage LIMS solutions, including creation of new modules, pages, and configuration changes
- Perform instrument integration and development, including writing parsing scripts for data ingestion
- Implement and support ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook) modules
- Manage and maintain master data configurations within LIMS
- Develop, enhance, and maintain calculations and business rules within the system
- Create and customize Jasper Reports for reporting and analytics needs
- Handle bug fixing, defect analysis, and issue resolution in production and development environments
- Support deployment activities, including release management and production rollouts
- Design and implement system integrations with enterprise systems such as SAP, other systems
- Work with APIs and web services for system communication and integration
- Review and advise on data migration strategies and execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
- Partner with project management and technical teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Support training, go-live readiness, and post-implementation optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in LabVantage LIMS implementation, enhancements, and support (8 to 10 yrs exp)
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows in life sciences environments.
- Experience with system configuration, validation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, IT, Lab Operations, and Validation teams.
- Skills in requirements analysis, scope management, and solution architecture.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, database concepts (Oracle/SQL Server), and integration design.
- Experience with data migration tools and strategies.
