We are seeking a Manager, Corporate Accounting & Reporting for our client, a PE-backed, industry-leading distribution organization based in Irving, TX.
This is a highly visible opportunity to join a company in the middle of a large-scale transformation and integration initiative following a significant acquisition. The organization is investing heavily in systems, automation, and process improvement, creating an opportunity for someone to make a meaningful impact across accounting operations, reporting, and financial infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting, and balance sheet activity
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury teams on reporting and close activities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements
- Help improve reporting processes and tools
- Research and document technical accounting matters
- Prepare accounting memos and support M&A accounting activities
- Maintain internal control documentation and accounting policy compliance
- Manage 2 direct reports
- Drive automation and process enhancement initiatives
- Support system implementations and reporting tool upgrades
Ideal background:
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate accounting
- CPA required
- Prior people management / leadership experience
- Strong understanding of lease accounting and fixed assets
- Proven ability to implement best practices and process improvement initiatives
- Background in retail, distribution, or manufacturing strongly preferred
- Experience with with AS400, Cognos / TM1, SQL and PowerBI a plus
Hybrid Work Environment: Monday -Thursday in office, Friday work from home
