The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing accounting, close, and financial integrity across Sazerac’s global structure. This role serves as an operational and strategic partner to the CAO organization and functions as a steward of accounting excellence, process optimization, and global standardization.
This leader drives scalable accounting processes, strengthens internal controls, accelerates close timelines, and partners cross-functionally to ensure accurate, timely, and decision-useful financial information across the enterprise. The position plays a critical role in advancing Sazerac’s global finance transformation initiatives, including ERP optimization, automation, and continuous improvement of the controllership operating model.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Close Leadership
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for assigned global entities, investments and joint ventures.
- Ensure integrity of financial statements through analytical review, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and global project accounting activities.
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting.
- Identify process risks and proactively remediate control gaps.
- Serve as audit lead for assigned areas with external and internal auditors.
- Standardize accounting processes globally and drive automation initiatives.
- Improve close cycle efficiency, reporting quality, and data transparency.
- Partner with IT and finance transformation teams on system enhancements.
- Collaborate cross functionally and with regional finance leaders.
- Support complex accounting topics including investments, joint ventures, and intercompany structures.
- Provide accounting guidance for business initiatives, integration of acquisitions and strategic transactions.
- Manage and develop accounting staff through coaching, performance feedback, and development planning.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture aligned with Sazerac leadership principles.
- Champion continuous improvement mindset and accountability across the team.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- 8 years progressive accounting experience
- 3 years people leadership
- Strong US GAAP expertise
- Demonstrated experience managing close processes and financial reporting
- Global accounting experience
- Experience with ERP and financial systems implementations
- Experience with intercompany, investments, or multi-entity structures
- Public accounting background
- Drives results through process discipline and accountability
- Thinks strategically while executing operationally
