Summary:: Performs various complex professional accounting and costing assignments, and fixed asset management, requiring extensive knowledge of business unit, company policy, and accounting theory. Coordinates, prepares, and analyzes financial/cost information for managements’ use in making Company financial, manufacturing, and sourcing decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (but not limited to). Other duties may be assigned.
- Records complex transactions, including those requiring extensive knowledge of business, company policy, and accounting theory, including review of transactions recorded by others.
- Prepares various daily, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial/cost reports, statements, and exhibits.
- Manage fixed assets in fixed asset software, capital budgeting, authorization for expenditure process, and financial analysis of new equipment purchases.
- Prepare, update, and submit payroll, prepare and post related accounting entries to the general ledger.
- Prepares cost and financial analysis used for decision-making, including target cost and cost tracking on new product and equipment programs, calculating overhead rates, updating standard costs, etc..
- Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Reviews, analyzes, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Supports annual audit by a public accounting firm in areas of expertise.
- Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
- Collects appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.
- Reports consolidation data to parent companies.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in accounting (preferred) or finance and three to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Power Point, Word, and advanced skills/knowledge in Excel. Must also have previous experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; preferably including Inventory and Manufacturing modules.
