Summary: Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment by performing the following duties.
JOB DESCRIPTION:. Include (but not limited to) the following:

Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and control systems to find root causes of trouble.
•
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
•
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
•
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
•
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
•
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
•
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
•
Lubricates and cleans parts.
•
Cleans machines, internally and externally, as required to maintain good operating efficiency.
•
Starts devices to test their performance.
•
Follows and performs preventive maintenance to production equipment to minimize downtime.
•
Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
•
Initiates purchase order for parts and service.
•
Repairs electrical and control equipment.
•
In maintenance software (MicroMain):
o
For unscheduled equipment issues (machine down): Creates work order to define machine issue, enters comments/pictures on action taken to resolve the issue, enters list of parts used to complete the repair, completes and saves sign-off of quality group to ensure products made on equipment were verified before resuming equipment in production
o
For scheduled maintenance (PM): Follows PM check list in MicroMain, perform PM plan, enters comments/pictures as needed to describe machine status during the PM process, completes and saves sign-off of quality group to ensure products made on equipment were verified before resuming equipment in production
•
Performs general facility maintenance and repairs throughout the building and property, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting, doors, HVAC support, and other building systems as needed to maintain a safe and functional work environment.
•
Assists with maintaining the facility and grounds by addressing building-related maintenance requests, performing routine inspections, coordinating minor repairs, and ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and in good working order.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
