Role Description The Insurance Sales Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Tampa, FL, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. In this role, the specialist builds relationships with individuals, families, and businesses to understand their needs and recommend suitable insurance and financial protection solutions. Daily tasks include prospecting and following up with leads, conducting consultations, presenting product options, and guiding clients through applications and underwriting processes. The specialist provides ongoing customer service, reviews existing policies, and adjusts coverage as clients’ circumstances change. The role also involves staying current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and product updates, as well as collaborating with team members and participating in training and development activities.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Insurance Sales and Insurance, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and ethically.
- Experience in Customer Service, focusing on building trust, handling inquiries, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Background in Insurance Brokerage, including working with multiple carriers to match clients with appropriate products.
- Knowledge of Health Insurance and related products, with the ability to assess needs and recommend suitable coverage.
- Relevant state insurance licenses (or ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with comfort in both in-person and virtual client meetings.
- Goal-oriented mindset with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage a pipeline of prospects.
