As a Medium Preparation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in enabling IVF and sexed semen lab success by ensuring precise, high-quality media is available when it’s needed. Responsibilities
- Prepare media and stock solutions to support IVF and sexed semen lab operations
- Coordinate with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Sexed Semen (SS), Quality Control (QC), Cloning, and Research & Development (R&D) teams to fulfill media requests
- Plan and maintain preparation schedules to meet lab demand
- Order and manage chemicals and disposables for media preparation
- Package and ship prepared media to remote locations
- Support QC and sterilization lab activities as needed
- Assist with ovary aspiration (porcine and bovine), including scheduling and setup
- Maintain accurate records, data entry, and adherence to lab protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field, or 1 years of relevant experience
- Experience with aseptic technique and/or media preparation preferred
- Ability to work under a laminar flow hood and perform repetitive hand movements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow established lab procedures and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
