Summary: Drives truck equipped trailer to transport materials and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs loading of and secures load on trailer prior to trip.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Drives truck to destination.
Prepares receipts for load picked up.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Performs routine and/or emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, oil, lube and spark plugs.
Must be willing to work overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations.
Must be willing to carry company issued pager and be on-call for work as may be required, assigned and scheduled.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s driver license, must have Commercial Driver License (CDL) and have the willingness to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment. Must possess Certificate of Physical Exam and/or pass Certificate of Physical (Medical) Exam required by the DOT. Must successfully complete safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by TGS at all TGS locations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have experience loading and operating Removable Gooseneck (RGN) trailer.
Must maintain a clean workspace. Must use provided safety equipment and PPE.
Ability to operate heavy equipment (dozers, backhoes, excavators) appreciated but not a requirement.
Ability to operate an end dump and belly dump a plus.
Qualifications: Must have a TWIC. Must have current health card and be able to pass pre-employment physical.
