A premier New York City Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an experienced Construction Labor Law Paralegal to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented legal professional with extensive experience handling New York Labor Law and construction accident cases.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of construction accident and Labor Law matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records, employment records, OSHA reports, incident reports, and construction site documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, attorneys, experts, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
- Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Conduct factual investigations and legal research related to construction accident and Labor Law claims.
- Prepare settlement packages and assist with case negotiations.
- Utilize case management software to track case progress and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Construction Labor Law Paralegal experience required.
- Strong knowledge of New York Labor Law Sections 200, 240(1), and 241(6).
- Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury and construction accident litigation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.
- 5 years in construction labor law.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
