What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter/Laborer position at Tran Construction?
We are seeking some reliable and hard working people to join the crew as trim carpenters and laborers. Potential candidates should be experienced carpenters or individuals with less experience that are willing to learn the trade. With this role, you will be doing mostly residential interior trim work with some small framing projects, decks, and various other jobs included.
Trim work will include installing doors, baseboard, window/door casing, crown mold, stair treads, and cabinets.
Some knowledge in aspects of carpentry including interior trim, cabinetry, framing, and deck building will be required for candidates.
Typical daily start time - 7:30 am
Typical daily end time - 4:00-5:00 pm
Pay will be determined by work experience and work ethic. Successful candidates will be paid weekly as a W2 employee. Most job sites will be located in Knoxville and surrounding areas.
Requirements:
- Drug free
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Compliance with company health & safety policies
- Ability to work efficiently, without sacrificing quality or safety
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to work hard, in both outdoor and indoor environments
- Ability to follow specific instructions and take training and feedback constructively
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and carrying loads of up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
