Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our Cabinet Installation team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will develop skills in trim carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools while working under the supervision of experienced carpenters. This role provides a valuable opportunity to learn the trade and grow within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trim carpentry, cabinet installation and other structural work on construction sites
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution
- Support installation of hardware cabinetry, and trim related to cabinets
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with material handling on-site
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Experience or familiarity with construction estimating is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading preferred
- Prior construction site experience or related training is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills across various areas such as drywall installation, metal stud framing, plumbing, electrical work, tile laying, or remodeling projects
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site access and material transportation
