About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
- Lead audit planning, fieldwork, and engagement completion under the Audit Manager
- Supervise staff auditors and ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Serve as the primary client contact for routine requests and questions
- Perform audits of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting systems
- Identify control or process weaknesses and recommend improvements
- Prepare and review audit workpapers; address review notes promptly
- Assist in drafting financial statements and management letters
- Manage smaller audit engagements with minimal supervision
- Train, mentor, and review the work of junior team members
- Handle complex audit areas requiring advanced technical knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of audit experience (public accounting preferred)
- CPA license or active pursuit strongly preferred
- Experience with not-for-profit audits, employee benefit plans, insurance, or dealerships is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodology
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; paperless audit software experience (ProSystem/Engagement) a plus
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
