Process Engineer – Chemical
Location: Fairfield, OH
Pay: $95,000/year Bonus
trak group is partnering with a leading manufacturer to add a Process Engineer with a chemical focus to their team. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, driving process improvements, and contributing to continuous innovation across production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Evaluate current operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Support scale-up efforts, equipment upgrades, and process changes across the facility.
- Conduct safety reviews and ensure adherence to all chemical handling and process safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and develop long-term corrective actions.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure alignment on process goals.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, process models, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience supporting chemical manufacturing or process-intensive production environments.
- Strong understanding of chemical process equipment, reactions, and system dynamics.
- Skilled in data analysis, process modeling, or simulation tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
Preferred:
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards related to chemical processes.
