Financial Controller
$130,000–$150,000 Bonus

About the Opportunity:
trak group is partnering with a growing U.S. manufacturing organization to hire a Financial Controller who will lead financial strategy, drive performance, and influence decision-making across a plant-based environment. This is a high-visibility role suited for a results-driven finance leader who thrives in fast-moving manufacturing settings and enjoys partnering directly with senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP/GM and leadership to guide financial strategy and operational performance
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews; recommend actions to improve results
- Manage annual planning, multi-year outlooks, and rolling forecasts tied to S&OP
- Build driver-based models, dashboards, and analytics for decision support
- Collaborate with Sales on pricing, deal structures, contracts, and margin optimization
- Analyze product and customer profitability to support portfolio strategy
- Provide plant-level insights on productivity, yield, labor, scrap, and cost drivers
- Manage standard costing, BOMs/routings, and variance analysis
- Lead capital expenditure evaluations and ROI analyses
- Ensure accurate close, reporting, internal controls, and audit readiness
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team (1 direct report)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- CPA or CA required; MBA preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- 8–12 years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, operations finance, commercial finance)
- Public-company exposure with IFRS and SOX-style controls
- Proven P&L ownership with results in margin expansion, cost productivity, and cash improvement
- Strong business partnering experience with plant leadership
- ERP experience (IFS preferred)
- Leadership experience managing direct reports
