trak group is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Corporate Controller who will lead accounting operations in a complex, high-volume environment. This senior finance leadership role owns month-end close, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, while serving as a key financial partner to executive leadership. The organization operates at an enterprise scale, with annual revenue exceeding $200 million, offering meaningful scope and impact for the right leader.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, billing, cost accounting, revenue recognition, commissions, and reporting
- Own a rigorous month-end close process with complex reconciliations
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and insights for executive leadership
- Manage WIP, percentage-of-completion (POC), and project-based accounting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax filings
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
- Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits
- Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or in a comparable senior accounting role
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience with heavy month-end close, audits, sales commissions, WIP, and POC accounting
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization
