About the Opportunity
trak group is partnering with a reputable public accounting firm to add an Audit Associate to their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements.
- Perform financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and auditing standards.
- Analyze financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare clear workpapers and audit documentation.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify findings.
- Identify potential control issues and recommend improvements.
- Stay up to date with changes in auditing standards and industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s or CPA-track preferred).
- 0–3 years of public accounting experience or audit internship.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and core auditing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common accounting software.
