Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula tailored specifically for two-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and observational assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that integrate Montessori principles and early childhood education best practices
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that supports toddler care and classroom management standards
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and milestones through meetings, reports, and updates
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, specifically with toddlers aged two years old
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
- Background in curriculum development with emphasis on literacy education, physical education, and preschool teaching methods
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with childhood development standards, Montessori approaches, and standardized testing procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities in guiding classroom activities
