Responsibilities

• Supervise children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist classroom teachers with daily activities, including child supervision, playtime facilitation, and educational instruction aligned with early childhood development principles.
• Support children’s social-emotional growth through positive behavior management techniques and personalized caregiving approaches.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including diapering, feeding, and sanitizing toys and surfaces.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns or updates.
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately.
• Participate in ongoing training related to first aid, CPR, special education needs, and childhood development to ensure best practices are upheld.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings.
• Knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and support multiple age groups seamlessly.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations relevant to childcare environments.
• Passion for nurturing young children’s growth through engaging activities like preschool learning exercises or toddler care routines.
