Success in This Role:
Within your first six months, you will be trained to become one of Trailblazer Transit's most knowledgeable and proficient drivers while developing the skills and building relationships with credibility needed to lead our driver team effectively.
Through a comprehensive, hands-on training program, you'll learn every aspect of our service, including service area, vehicles, customer needs, safety procedures, technology systems, and regulatory requirements. By immersing yourself in daily operations, you'll build the knowledge, credibility, and experience necessary to successfully lead, coach, and support our drivers.
As you complete Transit Driver training, you'll transition into a leadership role where you'll:
- Serve as a trusted resource and mentor for drivers.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer service.
- Build positive working relationships across the organization.
- Help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and employee development.
- Lead by example with a thorough understanding of the work you ask others to perform.

This position will initially work from both our Buffalo and Glencoe facilities during training. A primary location will be assigned upon completion of training.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience
- Human resources or employee supervision experience
- Valid Minnesota Class A, B, or C CDL with Passenger Endorsement (or ability to obtain within first 3 months of employment)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Computer proficiency, including spreadsheets and databases
- Strong customer service skills
- Meet Federal DOT physical requirements
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test
