Responsibilities

• Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as toast POS and Micros POS, ensuring quick and seamless checkout experiences
• Take customer orders for takeout with enthusiasm, confirming details and special requests to ensure satisfaction
• Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and math calculations
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to maintain efficient service flow
• Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures
• Support food industry standards by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and inviting
• Operate kitchen equipment safely when required, supporting overall food service operations with professionalism and efficiency

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong food service customer order management skills
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing transactions smoothly
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and enhance sales opportunities
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
• Basic math proficiency for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and support food preparation when necessary
• Retail sales experience including cashiering, grocery store experience, or café work is highly desirable
