What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Maintenance Technician position at Trademark Real Estate Services?
GENERAL ROLE:
The Home Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repairs of commercial and residential properties.
Ideal applicant will work independently, performing routine general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs in vacant and occupied properties.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience coupled with troubleshooting and repair skills for trades such as appliance repair, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, and tools. Specialty tools can be provided as needed. Must be able to communicate well and prioritize/schedule work assignments according to the property needs and ensure an outstanding level of service. Occasional overtime may be required. Knowledge of Property Meld or similar property maintenance software is a plus.
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
Duties & Responsibilities
· Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs in vacant and tenant occupied residential and commercial units
· Ability to create and follow schedules for ongoing preventive maintenance
· Partner with an in-house team and subs to efficiently make repairs
· Ability to use phone and/or laptop to create an accurate record of all daily tasks completed
· Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
· 4 years maintenance experience
· Valid driver's license
· Smartphone
· Basic troubleshooting knowledge and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances
· Basic understanding and troubleshooting skills with plumbing, roofing, leaks
· Ability to move and climb ladders
· Perform general physical activities, walking stairs, kneeling, carrying, bending, etc.
Schedule
· 40 hours a week
· Paid time off
· Limited overtime/after-hours work
· On call (this is scheduled, not all the time)
