What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Foreman position at Tradeco Construction?
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic MV (Medium Voltage) Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects focused on medium voltage systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical installation teams on medium voltage projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety standards.
- Supervise MV crews and coordinate daily activities.
- Install and oversee underground and overhead MV systems, including transformers, switches, grounding, and terminations
- Serve as the on-site MV safety lead and enforce energized work protocols.
- Perform and support MV testing, inspections, commissioning, and energization.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules, manage budgets, and report on project status regularly.
- Foster a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols on-site at all times.
Work Requirements
- Prior experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Supervisor on MV projects
- Strong knowledge of MV systems, electrical drawings, and one-line diagrams
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional field execution
- Class F Crane / digger derrick certification
- OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors on active construction sites
Preferred
- Solar or power generation project experience
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety certification
- First Aid / CPR
- CDL
