Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our production facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system drawings to diagnose issues accurately.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical components within manufacturing machinery such as CNC machines, distributed control systems (DCS), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting on-site equipment, performing repairs, and providing technical support to production teams.
- Utilize AutoCAD for designing or modifying electrical layouts and schematics to support plant upgrades or new installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and electrical codes while maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a residential/commercial electrician or electrical technician with a strong background in industrial maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), calibration processes, sensors, vision systems, and calibration tools such as ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity of hydraulics is highly desirable for troubleshooting complex machinery.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and working with precision measuring instruments for accurate diagnostics.
- Experience working with manufacturing automation including CNC machines, Calypso software (or similar), and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Knowledge of high voltage systems along with the ability to perform field service tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for electrical design work is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly across teams.
- Additional experience in military settings or with vision inspection systems will be considered advantageous.
