Opportunity Highlights
- Location: East Chicago, IN
- Schedule/Shift: Mon-Fri/2nd shift – 12:00pm-8:30pm
- Pay starting at $19/hr
- Paid Weekly
What will you do? Make an impact!
As a Lab Pack Plant Technician, you will be assisting the Lab Pack Plant Chemist in sampling, packaging and labelling hazardous wastes for transportation and disposal.
Key Job Responsibilities
- De-pack lab pack quantities.
- Obtain samples from drums and sample in-house created material.
- Load and offload trucks.
- Pour-off/bulk up lab pack materials.
- Complete all regulatory paperwork to ensure environmental compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures.
- Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Respond to spills and other emergencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Do you have what it takes?
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Hazardous waste experience a plus
- Experience operating a forklift preferred
