Every great guest experience begins with a warm welcome. As a Host/Cashier at Tractor Shed Café, you'll be the first person our guests meet and the last person they see before they leave. From greeting guests and taking orders to serving bakery items and answering questions, you'll help create the friendly, efficient experience that keeps people coming back.

Tractor Shed Café & Farm Stand is a growing, locally owned breakfast and lunch café in Holderness, New Hampshire. We prepare fresh, scratch-made food, serve premium coffee and specialty beverages, and believe every guest deserves genuine hospitality. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized during busy shifts, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

What You'll Do

• Welcome every guest with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Accurately enter all in-person dine-in and takeout orders into the Square point-of-sale system, including guest modifications and special requests.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Answer guest questions about our menu, bakery items, beverages, and retail products.
• Select, package, and present bakery items from the display case according to guest orders.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain an attractive bakery display throughout the day.
• Monitor bakery inventory and communicate with the kitchen when items are running low.
• Stock bottled beverages, retail merchandise, and guest service areas.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter and guest areas.
• Help resolve routine guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
• Support the Barista, Service Coordinator, and kitchen team wherever needed to ensure smooth café operations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Contribute to an outstanding guest experience every day.

• Comfortable using technology and learning point-of-sale systems.

• Ability to multitask while remaining calm and organized.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Previous customer service, retail, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
• Consistent daytime hours.
• Breakfast and lunch service only.
• Weekend availability required.
• Opportunities to assist during occasional Friday and Saturday evening special events.
