Responsibilities
- Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized and visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system smoothly for cashiering transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and provide product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when answering customer calls or coordinating with team members
- Support inventory management by stocking new merchandise and conducting regular stock checks to prevent shortages
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions promptly and courteously
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe store environment, adhering to all safety protocols and store policies
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in a grocery environment is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks required in stocking duties
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions
