Purchasing Specialist

Tracey Road Equipment, Inc. is seeking to hire full-time Purchasing Expeditor & Inventory Specialist for the East Syracuse Branch.

This role is onsite at the East Syracuse branch, Monday-Friday, 40-hour work week, day shift.

A successful candidate:

• Responsible for maintaining supplies and inventory.
• Ensures interdepartmental communication for productive operations.
• Communicates with suppliers about the status of supplies.
• Monitors inventory levels, assess supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
• Submits purchase orders to vendors informing the Salesmen of information they have recovered.
• Prepares stock orders for warehouse.
• Responsible for getting shipments closed, reworking issues, inspection problems, meets shipment deadlines.
• Addresses any problems that arise including missed deadlines.
• Reconciles inventory differences between physical stock and digital data.
• Creates, updates, and maintains supplier pricing information.

• Must have a strong sense of urgency and ability to work with limited supervision
• Communicate well with other team members and departments
• Ability to exercise tact, courtesy and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
