What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Diesel Technician position at TRACEY ROAD EQUIPMENT?
Tracey Road Equipment, Inc. is seeking to hire full-time Mobile Diesel Technician for the Syracuse Branch.
A successful candidate:
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy diesel trucks.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures' specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating, on equipment and vehicles.
- Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
- Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace sub-assemblies such as transmission and crawler heads using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
- Works in the field, traveling to offsite locations.
Skills:
- Ability to use appropriate power and hand-held tools and diagnostic equipment to repair, replace and test equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction
- Ability to read and comprehend diagnostic service information
- Ability to gather date, compile information, and prepare routine paperwork
- Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures
- Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record
