Wisconsin Oven Corporation has been designing, engineering, and manufacturing industrial ovens and other heating equipment since 1973. Our custom and standard industrial ovens are used for a multitude of applications including heat treating, finishing, drying, or curing.  Wisconsin Oven customers cover a wide range of industries including aerospace/military, automotive, commercial heat treating, and energy/oil to name a few.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Aftermarket Mechanical Engineer:

  • Support the Aftermarket Department 
  • Stay current and informed of new developments in industry and new parts or processes to improve products.
  • Research, develop, and design industrial ovens and oven systems, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
  • Work with customers and vendors on equipment design.
  • Redesign standard products, improving quality and productivity, while reducing costs.
  • Evaluate and select components and parts for products.
  • Develop working relationships with Electrical Engineering and other departments to address and resolve issues.
  • Act as a technical resource for Sales, Aftermarket and Quality Assurance
  • Participate in cross functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed Professional Engineer Preferred. Lean Manufacturing experience desirable. Automation/Material handling design experience a plus.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications. AutoCAD Inventor desired, or experience with similar software. PDM, CADLink, FEA, CFD and ERP experience is a plus.
