Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Waterjet Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Omax waterjet machines, reading drawings to understand specifications, loading and unloading material, monitoring the cutting process, and inspecting finished parts for quality and accuracy. They are also responsible for performing basic machine maintenance, keeping the work area clean, maintaining production records, and collaborating with engineers and supervisors to ensure projects meet standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
We strongly prefer candidates with CNC and/or waterjet experience. Recent graduates of a CNC machining program are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for someone straight out of CNC school to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a hands-on production environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor water-jets and processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality inspection.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper use of tools such as forklifts, cranes, and press brake machines in daily operations.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in manufacturing processes with experience in the following areas:
- CNC and/or waterjet experience strongly preferred; candidates fresh out of CNC school are welcome to apply.
- Mechanical knowledge related to water-jet systems.
- Familiarity with water-jet cutting techniques.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements.
- Quality inspection experience using precision measuring instruments. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality assurance.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
