Role Overview
The Project Manager IV will be primarily responsible for leading and managing risk management activities across the MP portfolio of projects. This role focuses on proactive risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring to support timely, risk-based decision-making and the implementation of corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, response planning, monitoring, and control.
- Facilitate early risk and opportunity identification workshops to support effective project planning.
- Develop and implement risk management templates, tools, and process flowcharts to standardize execution strategies.
- Monitor risk response actions, identify emerging risks, and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Establish and maintain schedule risk models, assessing confidence levels for achieving project In-Service Dates.
- Support and guide project teams in risk-based decision-making and problem-solving.
- Ensure timely updates to the risk register and prepare comprehensive risk reports for stakeholders.
- Perform continuous cost and schedule reviews, including impact analysis of project changes.
- Conduct constructability review sessions to identify potential execution risks.
- Support contingency estimation and calibration across all assigned projects.
- Lead lessons learned sessions, issue resolution, and trend analysis; ensure insights are communicated across the Projects Organization.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of relevant project management and risk management experience.
- Strong expertise in project risk management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven experience supporting large, complex project portfolios.
- Ability to analyze cost, schedule, and risk data to drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driver’s license and Driver’s Abstract.
