Job Title: Firmware Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Onsite).
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099).
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, debug, and optimize BIOS/UEFI firmware for x86 platforms.
- Work with silicon, firmware, software, and platform engineering teams to enable new processor features.
- Optimize BIOS interactions with the Linux Kernel and support Linux platform enablement.
- Debug CPU/APU/GPU firmware and software issues.
- Support platform bring-up, validation, performance tuning, and firmware integration.
Required Skills:
- Strong BIOS/UEFI firmware development experience (EDK II preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Linux Kernel, UEFI, ACPI/ASL, and x86 architecture.
- Strong programming skills in C and Python.
- Experience with CPU/APU/GPU firmware debugging.
- Knowledge of Git, platform validation, and system debugging.
- Experience with FWTS and HEDT platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and computer architecture.
