Job Description:
Toyotalift, Inc. is a leader in the material handling industry, we are seeking an outgoing and driven Material Handling Equipment Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales force working out of our San Diego, CA location. We supply warehouse equipment and allied products to warehouses & distribution centers throughout the So. California area.
This individual is responsible for working directly with Customers and in conjunction with our team in the systems division. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to actively seek new business and be goal orientated with a drive to achieve the company's sales and profit objectives. Pro-activity, drive for results, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively are all key attributes for this role, as is a dedication to providing total customer service. A background in the pallet racking and/or materials handling industry will be advantageous. An attractive compensation package including car allowance, mobile phone and uncapped commission structure is available to the successful applicant.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
- Obtain, maintain and optimize Customer relations through planned and regular sales visits and communications
- Achieve sales and gross profit objectives
- Interfaced with Marketing and identify target prospects and create strategic action plans to develop the accounts as Customers
- Assist the Customer and Toyotalift Team members with demos, application surveys and changeover needs on products
- Follow-up on all Customer leads from external and internal sources
- Maintain Customer information files and notes with periodic review with management
- Participate with product promotions from external and internal sources
- Initiate and process orders in accordance with Company procedures and requirements
- Resolve any Customer issues, problems or complaints to satisfy the Customer
- Enhance vendor relations by supporting programs and working with their representatives
- Attend and participate in all sales or Company meetings
- Participate in Company sponsored training sessions for enhancing selling skills and knowledge
- Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation
- Follow Company and Sales Department policies and procedures
- Pursue increasing knowledge of the Territory, Market and Competitors
Material Handling Specialist requirements:
- High School Degree
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and dependable vehicle
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work full time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Must meet physical requirements of the job
Our ideal candidate will also have:
- 2 years of experience with material handling industry
- Experience in material handling and warehouse equipment sales
- Previous experience working with CRM software
- Great interpersonal skills- displays honesty, ethics, and integrity at all times
- Ability to organize a selling plan and exhibit time management skills
- Competency in time and territory management
