What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable SOX Compliance Project Manager to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements, excellent project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The successful candidate will lead SOX-related projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance controls are effectively designed, implemented, and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SOX compliance projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal audit, finance, IT, and business units to assess and document SOX controls.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports to communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance SOX compliance and operational efficiency.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining focus on project goals.
- Facilitate training and awareness sessions on SOX compliance and control requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update compliance strategies accordingly.
- Support internal and external SOX audits by providing documentation, evidence, and responses to audit inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISA, CIA) are a plus.
