Job Summary
Ourisman Chantilly Toyota is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Lot Porter to join our Service Department. If you enjoy working around vehicles, staying active throughout the day, and being part of a fast-paced team, we'd love to meet you.
A Service Lot Porter plays a vital role in the daily operation of our service department by managing vehicle movement, maintaining an organized lot, and supporting our Service Advisors and Technicians. This position helps ensure our customers receive an exceptional service experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.
Responsibilities
Vehicle Movement
- Safely drive and park customer and dealership vehicles between the service drive, technician stalls, wash bays, and parking lots.
- Manage vehicle movement to maintain an efficient flow through the service department.
- Stage vehicles for customer pickup and technician use.
- Install protective plastic seat covers and paper floor mats before service.
- Assist with vehicle detailing as needed to ensure a clean presentation for customers.
Lot Maintenance
- Keep the service drive, customer parking, and inventory lots clean, organized, and presentable.
- Maintain dealership appearance according to company standards.
- Assist with organizing inventory and parking areas.
Support Tasks
- Retrieve vehicle keys for technicians and advisors.
- Run errands for the Parts and Service Departments.
- Check and test vehicle batteries when requested.
- Fill vehicle tires with air and add fuel as needed.
- Shuttle vehicles between departments.
- Assist Service Advisors, Technicians, and management with daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic reading and communication skills to follow instructions and greet customers professionally.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
