Engineer - Battery Case Welding

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring an Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY.

This is a 12 month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $40/hr - $45/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Job Description

• Candidate would be responsible for procuring and designing specifications of machines, robots and other similar equipment used for Battery Case Welding.
• Managing and working with machine vendors to confirm correct quality and specification of machines.
• Experience using AutoCAD and CATIA, C3, or another 3D design tool
• 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing of Automotive Industry
• Duties include: Process Planning; Machine Specifications; Machine/ Equipment Procurement; Installation/ Trial Management; Project Management;
• Schedule Control; Budget Control/ Cost Reduction; Manaufacturing Support/ Process Tracking
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted at nonproduction times.
• The position is home-based at PEMC office in Georgetown, KY. Willing to support Business Travel as required, including short-term or long-term dispatch if required.
  
  

Required Skills

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office, CAD packages (AutoCAD, Catia, C3)
• Manufacturing/ Processing Experience
• Additional Desired Qualifications: Bodyshop Engineering Experience, New Model Introduction experience. Up to 5 years Automotive/ Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
• Standard workgin hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• OT: ~30%
• Travel: ~30%. Mainly within North America (although Mexico, Canada, Japan travel is possible)
