Quality Seibi Technician

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Quality Seibi Technician for a temporary assignment in Princeton, Indiana.

This position is a 12-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $30.00 - $40.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide effective written and verbal communication with Quality Seibi Team Members, BAC, Management and outside groups regarding dimensional information and issues that require resolution.
• Gather/manage part information from Digital Engineering systems and drawings.
• Analyze part/sub-assembly dimensional data and feedback to Project Leader and Seibi Management.
• Perform equipment/tool/part confirmation utilizing Vectorarm, FARO Arm, FARO Laser Tracker, check fixtures, weld tooling/equipment measurements, and part fitting activities.
• Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S. NAMCs and machine suppliers within the US and Mexico, as well as foreign travel to Canada and Japan. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Check/confirm body weld jigs, tools, pallets, parts and assemblies to meet quality targets/KPIs for new model launch.
• Prepare, troubleshoot and confirm new tooling/equipment, parts and sub-assemblies at various tool/equipment vendors. Support weld and tool quality confirmation activities at NAMCs from installation through SOP.
• Create detailed Quality Seibi daily plans, Project Task Reports, Problem Follow Sheets, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA, CMs/remedies to unsafe conditions, & safety audits), and support daily/weekly verbal and written communication with the Quality Seibi Project Leader, BAC and Seibi Management.
  
  

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or higher college degree
• Proficient in Digital Enginerinng (DE) tools related to deign / engineering including: CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Polyworks, AutoCAD
• Ability to review and interpret part / machine / tool / equipment drawings in 2D/3D
• Proficient Quality measurement tools and techniques

• Automotive Body Dimensional Quality experience
• Basic Robot Teaching
• Experience mentoring / training
• Proficient in Digital Enginerinng (DE) tools related to BODY WELD METROLOGY / DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT including: CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Polyworks, AutoCAD
