Digital Engineer / Paint

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for a Paint Digital Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY.

This is a 12 month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $30.00/hr - $40.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Job Description

• This person will be creating offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process. Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer study, conduct the trial, evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Supporting Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes.
• Supporting Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for primer, base, clear and interior robot processes.
• This includes leading all meetings with related groups, document creation, and supporting the plants in the process.
• Position will include travel to US, Mexico and Canada pending covid restrictions to support projects. Position will report to the Digital Engineering Manager.
• Must be able to work with minimal direction and previous experience is a must.
  
  

Required

• 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications
• Experience with Digital Engineering
• Additional related certifications
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
• Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
